different color wire frame?

Im doing a fairly complex model and am finding it hard to see certain areas when pasting them into my model. I was wondering if it is possible to have different color wire frames or polys ( without changing the surface of that object ) say when Im connecting an ear to a head. That way it would be easy to see the different parts easier. Any Ideas?

Yup,
select the polygons you want to assign a colour to, go to Detail->Sketch Color and change your view option to "color wireframe".
