WAV file crashes Toaster.. HELP!

Ok you toaster gods... Help me with this one:

I load a uncompressed WAV file into a DDR.
44hz 16 bit file
about 4 min long (just music)

I hit play on the DDR and Toaster crashes! You can hear the music in the background but Toaster is gone bye bye. Gotta CNTRL-ALT-DELETE and shut it and the process down.

If you start over the same thing happens..

I tried different drives and files. Seems to be uncompressed WAV files.

Please help!!

What happens if you first render that file out as a 48k file?
My guess is that file is somehow become corrupted.

To many files have this problem and they play fine in other software.

Here's another hint:

If I play a file in a DDR but NOT in the toaster enviroment, then it plays just fine. That same file in the Toaster world freezes the machine... Go figure
