Bandsaw won't activate

Hey all,

I recently upgraded to 8.3. I tried to use one of my favorite tools - Band Saw Pro - but it's inactive. By that, I mean that the tool shows up properly in the menu, but after I first select a couple of adjacent polys and then click the Band Saw Pro tool button, nothing happens. When I bring up its numeric panel, everything is greyed-out and unclickable, except for the drop-down menu in the upper-right corner of the panel, but selecting either "Activate" or "Reset" doesn't do anything. I reinstalled the plug-in to no effect.

Similarly, with the regular Bandsaw plugin, when I click that tool, it keeps prompting me to select a 4-point polygon or patch, even after I've done so.

Everything else in Modeler seems to be working fine. Any ideas on what's going on?

Not really sure, it works on my installation.

I would try deleting your config files and start LW again. (make sure you back up your old ones just in case it isn't the fault).

It is annoying and time consuming getting LW back exactly how you had it, but sometimes it helps get stuff back to normal.

Also, make sure you don't use Bandsaw while two layers are selected. It still doesn't work when you do, which should be fixed really. (dont mean to patronise, but the only other option i can think of).

That was it. I had two layers selected. Works fine with just one. Thanks so much! :)

You wouldn't believe the amount of times i've screamed while trying to use bandsaw with two layers selected...

i just laugh hysterically when it happens now. :D

Doh! That is of course the other option :) A lot of the tools only work on on foreground layer, so always check that.
