Hi all, im kinda a newbie to LW and i working my through Dan Ablan's Inside LightWave8 book and ive got a problem. There is a section on logos etc in the book and it asks to import an EPS file that is provided on the DVD. For some reason LW will not import the file. When i try to import the file from the DVD, down the bottom in LW i can see a progress bar as LW imports the file, i can no error message but it never displays the image in Modeler, as well as this the layer button doesnt get that little triangle in it meaning there is something on that layer. I have tried openning the EPS file from the DVD and resaving it to my hard drive but this has no affect as a version 8 AI and EPS file but no luck. I drew some basic lines in Illustrator and saved that and it worked fine. So ive very confused as to what is going on. Just then i tried to import some other assorted EPS files that include logos and other forms of graphics and it wont work. Any ideas??? Please help. I have serached these forums and it seems that many people are having/had problems with EPS importing but no one has described the problem i am experiancing. By the way i'm using lightwave 8.2 and i have just done a clean install but no joy.

Cheers

There were problems with importing EPS files in 8.2, but 8.3 - the current version - has resolved these...
