live switching with firewire? help please

hello there. does anyone have some experience doing live-switching with two or more cameras that are connected to firewire-ports? i guess the big question is: how much delay do i get?
please share your experience and help me. thanks

Your going to get 6 frames or more. Which is comical if the program is going to be shown live in the room. Stick with y/c or composite inputs.
