It would like "explode" an object. I do not know if they know the Parray of the 3DS Max, would be more or but this. How to configure an emitter for this type of function, This would be the best way? I heard to speak that an option would be to use Morphs. Another way would be the dynamic use (collisions) in a fragmented object (unweld). I am really lost.

Try C4. You can do a search on www.flay.com for it. I'd do it to create the pieces in modeler and then use LW's dynamics to actually explode it.

Thanks. I go to test here. Without plugins it does not have skill?

It does, but C4 is very easy to set up for that particualr type of effect. There are examples of LW 8's capabilities on the content cd's of things getting smashed to pieces...
C4 Destruct doesn't seem to work on my Mac. Does anyone know of an alternative plugin that does the same thing for Macs?

If you're on LW 8 you can use Hardfx.

C4 doesn't work on the mac anymore, from what I understand it worked under os9, but not under OS X. as far as I know there is no real alternative to it yet on the mac, at least not one that is free.....I just finished a scene where I ended up having to load my object on a PC and destruct it there and then bring it back to my mac and use hard fx for the animation....hopefully there will be a solution before too long, it seems like it would be a good addition to the native tools in lightwave at some point, especially now that we have hard fx....

Doesn't work on the Mac anymore! used to work under OS 9! This is painful.
Please lets have a random slicer up of objects native to Lightwave. I'm dying to blow stuff up with all the hard FX things.

I prefer use Crack it! for segment the model and yes, C4 or HardFX for animation (forgot PFX for this) :) I used Crack it!, C4 (with a collision object) and some new capabilities of LW8 for this project, last year:
http://www.geocities.com/gerardstrada/casinoseq.txt
The sequence is a cookie with cream that explodes, the camera spins around (frozen in time), then all the pieces go toward the camera to normal speed and a cream drop is transformed into the packing (hope makes sense)
I had to remodel each cookie piece (more than 500) for subpatched; the smallest pieces are 5 types of repeated lowpoly geometries. I used C4 because I didn't still have upgraded to LW8 in that time (what I would make now if I had to do it again), then I exported the animation to Realflow (1000 fps) and I used this object sequence for render with the cookie. I made the frozen in time effect with 150 cameras around the frame 628 (thanks to gracefulness of Jacobo Barreiro for his useful script to manage a lot of cameras). In the middle of the project I upgraded to LW8 and finished it there.
Btw, don't switch to a new version amid a project :)

Thanks Dodgy :)
Although I had liked to use HardFX for this project. I think that offers a more realistic result than C4 and as your example shows, is almost so easy of using for this type of effect
