Comments please. I know he has no eyelashes.
This is for my undergraduate dissertation (which is due in in 40 hours time, and isn't finished yet) :D

Wireframe image.
This is based on the classic Aitkin/Ablan tutorial. It's the first bit of modelling I've done since getting LW7 (the only previous version I've used was 3.5).

Umm, lets try that again

I'm afraid it doesn't make me think of Elvis, though I can see where you're coming from. I think that any elvis picture mught suggest some changes.
I'm very surprised to see such a heavy, triangulated mesh for a model made in LW, makes it rather difficullt to change this model.

Yes, that's the frozen mesh, the original NURBS were causing some rendering problems. Here:

Another one: Colour render with radiosity. Eyes are a bit bright on this pic.

I am honest...It doesn`t resemble to Elvis.
I don`t know what reference, or what method you used, but it`s obvious, that you didn`t spend too much time with modelling. I see serious problems with the polygonal structure, the proportions, etc.
I think if you have time, restart the modelling, and send us more frequent shots. Forget about area lights, radiosity, SSS, and even texturing, until the model is not finished.
Tell us more about your technique, and reference. I`d found out, that many user make mistakes when they selects a modelling method. Nowadays it is a trend to use box modelling, but if someone cannot think the way boxmodeling requires, he wont succeed. As I see, your model has lot of unneccessary loops, etc.
That used to be the mark of boxmodelling when the modeler doesn`t really know, how the face works.
Try to find images of Elvism with harsh lighting, shadows. It helps a lot to define the necessary loops, and their directions.
Sorry, if I was harsh, but I think I was constructive
