Is there a way to bake the results of MotionDesigner to keyframes? I know that the motions themselves can be baked, but is there any way to bake the resulting deformations of the mesh? I suppose this would actually entail creating multiple meshes so I have no idea how to go about this.
My goal is to use dynamics to deform a mesh within Layout and then export each resulting keyframe as a single layer in a new model. The resulting model would be ~60 layers, and if each layer in the model was turned on and off in succession, it would give the same effect as viewing the animation in Layout. I got the deformation done, and I know how to get each frame exported to a layer in a new object, but baking the deformations has me stumped.
If this sounds ridiculous, that's because it is. I need a model in this format for an external application.
Thanks,
