Looks like you are trying to make it look as good as you can every step of the way. Rather than trying to do a quick job, and hiding your rushed job with textures

Thank to all of you....added some details...... :)

Lookin' pretty good so far. Sorry, can't really offer much in the way of crits as of yet til' more details are added but again, a solid start. Kudos for proper color for this Jag. Could you possibly render a close-up of one of the tires. I would like a closer look at the wire pattern you have going on there. I know that when I did my last car (inspired by the wires wheels) that it was probably one of the more difficult things for me in getting the pattern correct. Again, if it's not too much to ask. Look forward to your progress and updates.

These are two close -up of my wires wheels....I hope they are useful for your work.....enjoy... :)

wow! that wip looking great
love the modelling details and the glass surface for the windows and light looks ver slick,

how did you setup that material?

Nothing special ...the setup of window is:
color 88-106-95
luminosity 0
diffuse 20
specularity 50
glossiness 40
reflection 30
transparency 90
refraction 1.01

color filter 100

raytrace + backdrop....(hdri naturally)

other update.......

Wow- great job. I especially love the surface of the body of the car- great job. The modeling is great, also. Really nicely done.

I think you have a few problems around the petrol flap and boot. The edges of the boot don't look to clean on the corners and the same is true of the petrol flap. I'd expect to see continuous surfaces along the body with the cutout of the petrol cap just cutting into the surface. As it is the reflection seems to show that the shape of the flap doesn't flow with the rest of the bodywork.

You've certainly captured the esence and feel of the car though! Nice work.

I think that the model is not finished , but I would like to post this update to have some comments about the environment that i I have used....It's not Uffizi hdri..is a real (partial) model of Uffizi realised on my own...It's not so detailed but it seems working on scene...may be the textures could be better... Let me know what you think...

where are the mirros man? :)

Yeah you're right...eehehehehh ... it's also for this reason that I have posted these renders in W.I.P......I don't have realised yet some particulars like mirrors...ehehehe :)

Wow. No crits here. One of my fave cars of all time beautifully modelled and rendered.

Very nice. Have a star. In fact have 5

Thank you all guys...two more renders to take a closer look at my model.... :)

Very nice, but the refraction in the windshield looks really odd. Did you use airpolys?

pauland

It is really nice, however to my eye the closer render is showing some angularity in the curve along the wing. I'd expect to see the trim curve gently along, but I can see some angles in it, similarly in the reflections on the wing itself.

Maybe it's my imagination.

No ,I didn't use airpoly inside ....and I set the refraction amount very low (1.01) because I have seen that the refraction in windshield is lite...may be because the glass used for windshields is different in composition.......

For Paul

what do you mean talking about wing? Could you be more clear?

pauland

It's the English word for Fender (or vice-versa). The chrome trim runs over the wing above the wheel arch.

I think it would look better if you used airpolys and the actual refraction of glass (1.52). In those images, the glass looks thicker in those areas where whatever's behind it is further away and thinner where it's closer (like the dashboard). Airpolys and a higher refraction index would fix that. But to each his own and all that. Nice work regardless.

Oh, and those images could really use some more anti-aliasing. ;)

Ah....ok.... now it's clear.....yes may be you are right about that but I really can't fix....I have tried, but when I look that area in modeler everything sims good...I don't know why...may be is a bug in visualization in modeller....

Ok I've added mirrors , I've changed body and chrome surfaces...comments and critics about reflections in these new renders are welcome....compare these with the old ones..... :)

Very nice. Looks much better now that it has anti-aliasing. ;)
