Heres a character I've been planning on modeling ever since I started lightwavin. I just plucked up the courage to model it, while Im waiting for some freelance work.

It took me four hours. I haven't had enough time to finnish rigging it yet.

Im going to use it as a character in an intro sequence for my new game. I wanted everyone to see it before I run "quemloss2" and loose all the definition.

matrix style!

As much as I hate to say this, it looks like another CS clone your making here :(

Why don't you model some weapons/ and stuff that doesn't relate to CS? You have some talent, why not use it together with an original looking mod?

If this was for another game engine it could have a chance but people might be turned away from your mod simply because it seems like a CS clone.

Find and research a completely different arsenal of weapons to model or something and try to amke this player model not so looking like the player model from CS.

Just giving ya some side crits here so don't take this the wrong way, I'm actually quite concerned for you as you can defenetely model for games but honestly, your up against a 25,000 + player community devoted strictly to CS.

Simon -

I've seen your tank and weapon models and they are amazing! I wonder why you have such a hard time with organic models... Are you using alot of reference photos for the machines and guns and no reference photos for your humans? Four hours could have used for the head geometry alone I think.
If your organics get as far as your mechanics then you are really going be a force to reckon with. Goodluck.

LOL, I'm not going for a countersrike clone!

Its more of a stealth beat em up. Its going to be slow paced stealth action, mixed with silent executions. AND Another thing ITS SINGLE PLAYER! :D

Here are some improved images!

Cassanovastein - I didn't have ANY reference photo references. I can only go online after six pm - it was lunch time and i couldn't wait to go on google at six. BUT ive just taken a whole film of my mates, which im going to use as characters in my game. (theres nuthing quite like killing your best mate over, and over!):p

Thats good. Nice style but the mask gives them a funny expression all the time.

Good luck with the MOD.

Wow - I can already tell from this that your organics are really improving. A couple things that work well for your mechanics - like symmetry, consistancy, and regularity will really work against you with organics.
Think about wear and tear and also inconsistancy when it comes to faces and bodies. Textures, as your gun models have shown, really help establish the "realness" of objects. Remember you will need a color, diffuse, and specular map at the minimum to sell us this face. Goodluck - your new head model is looking great.

If you weld on some extra skelagons pointing out from the shoulder and elbow joints, you should stop the creasing in the deformations at said joints.

..in the dark. The image is so dark I can hardly make it out, even with the brightness right up.

Very impressed by your models though.

LOL! :D

This thread is like a month old!

Well production on my game had to stop for a while, because I actually landed a freelance JOB!

Im making pics for a RPG book. Im not really in it for the money, so im doing it really cheap.

Check out my quick renders of my first project.

"The image is so dark I can hardly make it out, even with the brightness right up" - sorry about that, I've got a ultra contrast screen, which is very bright.

Are you still working for HL1, because that looks like it would kill the Q1 engine! Nice work though, keep it up.
