Hi, I did this this week. I would like some feedback to improve it. Ideas, critics, all are welcomed. It was made on FPrime by the way (mo shaders) or post on PS. I will be glad to hear what you say. So far the ideas are:

1) Add Blur to the table glass relections
2) Add Color filtering to reflections on table-glass
3) Add some cigarrettes and ashtray
4) Add some coins
5) Add condensation and some beer inside the bottles

:)

Wow, so far it looks great,

something I might add would be some sort of stain or something on the table...

also maybe a person or two at the bar,

Keep up the good work

Yes, it's looking good so far, nice brown glass, nice atmospheric background.

I agree with all in the previous post. In addition, suggest that you add another label to the bottle to add a little more variety to the image.

I think it has all the potential to become great!

But there is one thing you have to fix in my opinion and that is the DOF (Depth of field). Right now all the bottles are sharp and crisp and in focus, while the added background is completely diffused (out of focus).

In a real shot the foreground bottle would be slightly out of focus, and the last bottle would also be out of focus - as an example, depending on where you choose to focus - there is no way that all the beerbottles are in focus with that out of focus background.

Experiment with different settings, if you get it right the illusion is complete - no additions needed in my opinion. Good luck!

great looking image so far, i don't really think that it needs too much more to be considered done, just a little bit of tweaking like has already been mentioned. i agree that another label could be added to another bottle to give some variation. other than that, great image so far, i would love to see it when it is finished. keep up the good work.

I think you've done a very good job with this. The bottles look great, especially the brown glass looks just like it should. My only suggestion is that you might want to make the foreground stand out a bit more. You have dark bottles on a dark table and a bright background, so it looks like a silhouette until your eyes adjust. Maybe add a little more light to the table, so it draws your attention to the foreground. Just a suggestion. Excellent work so far, keep going!

Thanks for the constructive critics! I really appreciate them. I never post in this forum, I can see now that it was an error not to start earlier. I'll work on this bottles this week. I just have to move to my new rented aparment.

I have never done DOF. Not that I dont want to, I just dont understand the ones I have read. Any good tutorials online that you could recomend me to learn DOF? It would help me alot. Thanks!

PS: Anyone fron Vancouver? I just moved to Vancouver, I lived at Mexico.

Basicly DOF sets up a ring of focus around the camera. If you switch to any of the side or top views, you can even see the ring (a black dashed circle around the camera). In the Camera properties its under the middle tab on the bottom. NOTE: AA has to be set at least to 7-pass or classic medium. Once its enabled, the focal distance is how you control how near or far your focus limit is. That's about it.

P.S. I live in Vancouver, but I doubt it's the one your in... :)

Hi there (oi). You said you just moved to Vancouver? Wow, it must be cold there. I'd rather live in Baja California. LOL. About your images: they look great. Greetings from São Paulo, Brazil.
