Thats a real cool concept for a logo I like it alot.
I would only find a way to make the words "back alley" a little more readable. I wouldn't change the grafitti look at all becuase that is great but maybe brighten it or something, especially the word "back".
The idea is cool, but to me the grafiti bit is not nice at all. Looks a bit...countryside. Make it fater...or somehow more grafiti like.

To make the logo stand out a little more, just add a contrasting hue (color) in the background letters or if you want just add contrasting tone, which ever should improve the readability.
Although I hate most grafittis out there since I do not at all perceive the meaning of it because most are unreadable or are chaotic. To me they're not work of art. What I do like are murals painted with a theme.
I don't know, I just don't think that an unreadable signature on a wall as nothing to do with artistic creativity. "I sign the wall because I can" attitude... Bah... sorry for taking out my frustration.
Yours is ok though since its a 3D wall... hehehe...

Hey, thanks for the replies. I'll post an update soon. Hey Dave 3d, by bins do you mean the trash cans? Yeah, it's all lightwave. Eventually it'll be an animation. I'm thinking of maybe having a cartoonish-looking cat jump up onto one of the cans and look at the logo or something. ANy ideas would be great! Thanks.

Cool concept but I feel the graffiti needs some adjusting. Typically, graffiti is done with basic primary and secondary colors, black and white (your average ROYGBV at the corner hardware store) and since it is usually done so fast (so as not to get caught) straight lines would most likely not happen. I of course have no first-hand experience, just what I remember seeing from the "EL" in Philly. Is that all one texture map or do you have an alpha for the logo?

It's all one map, in several layers, of course. did it in Photoshop.
