.. Chardonnay and Merlot ;)

Now the render itself is 1024x768 with medium AA, raytraced shadows, reflections, 3 lights(2 back, 1 front) and a HDR image.

I am aiming for a realistic and warm look with this one.

Personally I think the main thing is that the brick wall should be moved back or done into a 3d wall with some depth.
And perhaps also add some more detail to the scene/background to have it look nicer.

I am up for ideas, critisism and suggestions ofcourse, to improve the image.

Hi Raptor,

The glass looks a bit flat, almost like a black cutout.

Try using a little reflection, say about 10 -12% and give thgem something to reflect using image world and and .hdr image. Use 'soften reflections' from the image process menu as well.

This might help make them a little more '3D'.

Hope this helps.

Yeah and I'm not sure why but the label on the upright bottle seems like it curves inward to early on the right, almost like it's actually stuck INSIDE the bottle rather than the outside.
Also play with the shadows as they look really "computer 3D" right now. Maybe some radiosity or something will help sell this.
Lastly, the shadows don't interact with the texture behind them--notice how the shadow wouldn't be so crisp contouring to all those little crevices in the rocks.
Good idea though and a great start!
