How do you make a multiple mesh object (on separate layers) deform the same way as it would if it were on the same layer?
Model built in Lightwave Modeler.
Exporting with DTS exporter.
Model is divided into parts.
Head
Body
LeftEar
LeftBicep
LeftForearm
LeftHand
LeftThigh
LeftShin
LeftFoot
RightEar
RightBicep
RightForearm
RightHand
RightThigh
RightShin
RightFoot
Each part is a separate mesh. Each mesh is on on a separate layer for the purpose of taking advantage of Torque's built in animation features. Segments/Layers can be turned on or off for specific animations.
When deforming the entire character in Layout, the joints separate as they cannot be welded when on separate layers.
Is there a way in Layout to group the layers as one and make the meshes deform as if the joints were welded?
