Hi there fellow wavers...

I am giving my website an overhaul, and here is the new logo for my site. I think it would be fun for the paint to change colours randomly as the page is loaded. I have yet to add any textures to the paint tube.. This is still very unfinished.

Be happy!

Well, for starters there needs to be threading around the opening of the tube, and that opening wouldn't be that long.
Second, artists are rarely anal enough to roll a tube that neatly, so I would put more dents in it.
In the same vein, artists tend to get paint on their hands, which then gets on things that they touch, like the actual tube of paint.
Third, the paint is too viscous and doesn't look llike it came from the tube.

Try buying a tube of paint and squeeze out some paint and recreate your scene. Observe everything - take a few pictures if you can.

Yes the threading was intended since the beginning. As for the wrinkling of the tube, yeah that would have been nice. I chose to build it with regular polys and not Sub-Ds and I think that was a tactical error for adding things like wrinkles. I'm not going to worry about the rest.. I like how it looks, and I need to move on to other things..

If you visit my page and hit your refresh button a few times, the paint will change "colour." I think you will see that the viscosity is less of an issue when you realize the paint really isn't paint.. That will be clear when you see the variations on my site.

Cheers.

To be honest i really like this... its got a really nice polish to it!
The only prob i can see is the actual threading looks like texture map, and not modeled! I reckon the detail modeled in there would look even better!

Very nice though!

Actually, just leave it... just looked at your site and its looking good.(already..... there's nothing even on it, and its better than what i could do!)

Good job with the different textures on it too! The gold one is mighty fine!

The only problems i could really be picky about the m is:

The water doesn't look too much like water, maybe slightly more transparency, and some kind of view dependant reflection! (maybe it already has, and i'm wrong)

and maybe the skin's too veiny, but hey someones gonna have skin like that, so they can relate to it!

Im just being really picky, dont worry!

It's flash, it's very 3d, and you have managed to get fancy and original with the text, without losing readability. Fine!

The landscape one and the lava one are awesome. Great concept and execution.

Greetings!

Well aside from one or two minor details, I think my site is pretty much complete now. It has evolved considerably.

I just wanted to let you know there are now... 11 paint colours, and more on the way.. However, only eight are generally available. To "unlock" the additional paint colours for your viewing pleasure, click on the coloured dot on the paint tube and enter "funky" as the password. Have fun!
