hi!
first of all, this is not a sub-p related problem, nor a layout related one(the new uv stretching features etc).
the image below shows a simple shape, uv mapped as a cylinder, the uv stretches over the whole uv space and it's all quads. the texture is a simple grid.
http://cui.unige.ch/~noris03/uvstretch.gif
When tripled, the way the texture is interpolated over the object changes.
This is due to the fact that the implicit tripling of >3-polys in lw (for displaying) is different from the tripling done by the Triple command(s).
my question is: is there a way to triple the polys the WYSIWYG way?
Is there a plugin that does it? (couldnt find one on flay)
Or, could you tell me the way the polys are tripled in the lighwave display architecture so that i can write a plugin that triples the polys the very same way?
thanks in advance
