How would you go about making them? modelling? Displacement? :confused:

Others may have different techniques, but my strategy was to model one key, clone it all the way down the scale, and then use morph maps to make the motion of the keys being pressed down. I would suggest naming the morphs based on the key name and octave, (i.e. 3G#). This works for the black keys, too.

If you need/want more detail you should consider modifying the key shapes as they conform around the black keys. I just went with a simple box with perhaps a little beveling to soften it.

I never finished that piano; I should start working on it again. Unfortunately, I don't have access to the files at the moment, (as they are at home), but I can post some pictures later if you want.
