Creature in progress, C&C requested [Plains Dweller]

I've been working on this creature here and there over the last two weeks and have come to the point where I could really use an outside perspective. Any and all comments/critiques would be appreciated.

Some background on this creature:
Lives in/around grasslands - long legs to both see above tall grass and to run down prey. Coloration to blend in with surrounding foliage.

Fun design! :) It looks like a grass tussock.

Critical suggestions would be that the centre of mass looks off; shouldn`t the hips be further back?

You do get cold hued grasses, but normally aren`t they a bit more sandy-yellowy? Your character might blend in better if its colouring matched more closely. But then, I don`t know what your grassland looks like! What do I know?

The eyes could do with something. They look a bit stuck on, like buttons.

Toes are all one thickness, without knuckles.

Apart from that, coming on nicely!

Toes could also be slightly different lengths. It's funny...it looks like a cross between an emu and a frog...

Thanks for the comments, I've got some new ideas to play with :)

I agree about the toes, I'll be adding some details to the shape and see how it looks.

I think the eyes are okay though, perhaps they just look a bit funny since the image is a bit small and you can't see the eyelids so well...or perhaps I need the eyelids closed a bit more for it to look natural. After I make some tweaks I'll post a closeup of the face.
