lighting: Making a spotlight smaller

Hi guys.

I'm trying to fit a spotlight into an overhead light I have modelled. The default size of the spotlight is too big to fit inside my modelled light. I cant seem to make the light any smaller to fit inside it. Any ideas why this is happening or any ways around this problem?

The size of the light icon in LightWave Layout is directly proportionate to the size of the grid. Go into the Display Options panel (keyboard shortcut "d"), and reduce the size of the grid. The icon for the light will get smaller as well.

you can also add a null, parent the light to the null and size the null. The light
will shrink.

but for your problem it sounds like the Grid Resize answer is more appropriate.

You can also use [ to make the grid smaller and ] to make it larger without using the display panel.
