Rail extrude: multiple

Hey has anybody else experienced this?
I am trying to create 2 point polys to use for Sasquatch guides. When I use the "Rail Extrude: Multiple" tool to extrude single point polys I get some very unexpected results (explosion of 2 point polys all over the place). I'm using LW 7.5 and OS 10.2.5. Any ideas of what is going on would be much appreciated.

Actually, rail extrude:multiple is only for a single extrusion. The extra curves are to modify the width of the extrusion along the main curve.

The best way I can see is to make a single extrusion and then clone it.
