Does anyone know anything about Serial ATA drives as a viable VT[3] drive alternative? It's probably too early to tell, but I figured someone out there might have some experience or knowledge.
Western Digital has a 39GB 10,000 RPM drive. (http://westerndigital.com/en/products/WD360GD.asp)
There's a review of a Maxtor drive on Toms Hardware (http://www.tomshardware.com/storage/20030314/maxtor-01.html)
LSI makes some SATA cards ... even a 6 channel (http://www.lsilogic.com/products/stor_prod/raid/raidindx.html)
I'm not enough of a tech guy to hypothesize from the specs.
Thanks,
Dana
