SGI image file format

Hello,
Working in a hybrid environment where I still make use of my SGI hardware and code, a direct recognition of the .sgi 32bit image file format would be real helpful.
Any chance of this occuring?

For a way around the problem for now, you should try IrfanView. It fully supports the SGI format and can do batch conversions to the format of your choice. Although I'm not sure if it can handle the alpha channel part... Still, worth a shot, it's a great program.

I've got plenty of work arounds, that is what I'm trying to avoid.
I've plenty of file conversion tools.
Another step in the workflow is not desirable.
One of the reasons I stuck with SpeedRazor soooo long was it's native recognition of the sgi with alpha format.
