This is a retro-futuristic styled Robot.
The brass along with the steel textures are ment to give a classic futuristic feel.
In other words Im using parameters that would have been condider modernistic a few decades ago.

The idea of a human like face in it came as an inexcusable way to bring to contrast an old technological element with an organic characteristic, presumably to aid the interacion between humans and machines.

This is a work in progress.
Coments are most wellcome!

Thanks

First, I like the look. A couple of suggestions: Change the textures on the tracks to look worn, the texture that is there now just looks a rough but not worn like you would expect. The other suggestion is to make the shoulder joint a bit distinct so that it looks like it could rotate around. This could be done by modeling and through a different texture.

It`s a creative design, (reminds me of objects in bathroom fittings catalogues!) but you need to work on the mechanical realism. When you`re designing this, tell yourself you`re going to have to build this in the real world and have all the joints moving properly. Ask yourself how the joints rotate and what is the driving force. Cogs, valves and bicycle pump style pistons might fit.

Cheers,

R
