Jpeg crashes modeler and Layout

I have been using LW 7.5 in os 9.2 and everything works great. relatively speaking. I have just switched to os 10.2 and I can't get either modeler or layout to load jpeg images. When I try to use a jpeg on a surface it crashes.

I initally had difficulty with modeler holding its prefs, but I fixed that. I have added the jpeg i/o plugin and it still crashes. I am assuming my plugin is corrupt, where can I download a new one?

I didn't have this problem in 9.2 and installing from same CD.

Try removing the plugin jpeg.p and allowing QTTools.p to handle jpegs. Worked for me on a machine that had that problem as well.

I've heard a recommendation to stay with tga's for maximum compatibility - and I've seen this with some other apps too
