Twisted Shape

Hi,

Im trying to create a twist in a box/cone so that the it twists 360 degrees along the shaft, trying to get the effect like a unicorn horn, or rope, but my attempts so far have failed, as the more i twists the sides vanish and it doesnt look at all good.

Any help would be really appreciated.
