Hey all,
I have thought of upgrading my second LW license to take advantage of the Realvize deal and its ability to open DWG files and Export LWO files. Has anyone used this yet? Does it work well? Does it work well with Xrefs....? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Do you like image modeler does it work well for what you use it for whatever that may be?

"...no commercial application should be without. In ImageModeler, you can import industry-standard file formats such as Art.Lantis *.atl files, AutoCad *.dwg and *.dxf files, and Wavefront *.obj. Not a bad line-up, but I would like to see *.3ds, *.lwo, and maybe other popular file formats added to that list.
So you 've completed a project, but that won't do you any good unless you can export your creation. Fortunately, when exporting, you have significantly more options than when importing. You can export almost anything in a scene, objects & textures (obviously), cameras, and 3D locators, in a variety of formats covering the most popular 3D applications currently on the market (namely, Art.Lantis, AutoCad, Lightwave 6+, Maya ASCII/Obj, Max Script, Shockwave 3D, STL, VRML 97 and Softimage|XSI). There are a few formats missing from that list too, but seeing as most 3D apps support at least one of those formats, you won't have much trouble taking the next step after you 're done with ImageModeler. And of course, you can also create QuickTime VR movies directly from your finished models, with full control over every aspect of the created QTVR file. "
