The Red Shoe (Den Röda Skon in Swedish) is the first of hopefully 5 shorts with the common theme of a man that finds a shoe in a river and tells us the story how it got there.
4 and a half minute in lenght, animated in messiah and lightwave and rendered and modeled in LW. Took 3 months from idea to finished animation.

the story made no sence to me cos its not in english nor croatian..
This would be my critique- put in SUBTITLES :)
-What shader did you use to get that cartoon look?

I suppose it would be too much to ask for an .mpg version? I can't view MOV files at work much to my annoyance.....

Thanks for all the comments.
I don't have any way to make an mpg version right now. Is there anything free to convert an avi to mpg?
We are pretty optimistic about maybe getting it shown on tv in sweden. I'm not from norway, but from (the northest north) of sweden.

HA! I remember the test render you posted a while ago. I love the style of your rendering. I don't suppose you'll let us in on how you achieved the look you got?

I think your method might be the way to go! Add rendered lines to it, and motion blur and you should get what I got without the jitter or the morph. Hmmmm...
So now we've got...what...at least three new line styles to play with in LW since last week? I like how yours has a pointlist kind of style...very bic pen sketch book...NICE!
Nice to see there are NEW things to do with even the OLD tools in LW...and they don't always need some new plugin...just some old nogg'en time...

Ok so the combo method works even better, is faster, easier to animate, and gives you 10X the flexablity! To say I'm one happy camper is to put it lightly!
ColinCohen's method, combined with the one I was using before (sans the jitter morph object) gets even better line draw images! I'll post a demo scene tonight after I'm back from work- here are some images.
This way is SOOO flexable...

This is truly amazing....I agree with Zara...best I have seen.
I'll give it a test asap.
Do you have any other examples?
Where can we see more of your work?

Wow this is truely something to investigate. handdrawn style without postfilters, plugins and shaders. quick but beautifull. i´m curious to play with it and find out if there are any limitations.
great work guys.
