Below, my latest attempt to model a head. After about three evenings playing with polys I had enough and started testing with textures.
I know a lot can be done to improve, (and I was supposed to do this today) but I had more fun adding beards and such.
Anyways, just wanted to show this.
C&C appreciated!

Hey thats a good start!
Did you paint the hair? i dosent look 3d. It looks very flat. You should use some kind of fur plugin for that.
And about the modelling, you should use zbrush to displace it, Add more details to it. I think you done a great modelling job on the ear and lips.
I show you a little head I did just to test it out.

Well both sets of heads look good, the second lot look like a cast.
On the 1st set, the eyes (texturing) let the model down right now - the whites of the eyes look very flat and lifeless. But I guess you were concentrating on the modelling for now....
Agree about the hair looking flat as well.
Adrian.

Thanks for the replies!
Funny you mention the hair. Though I hadn't given it much work, it is done using sasquatch. In the end he's going to wear a cap so thats why only a small part of the head is covered with hair. (Otherwise the hair will come through the cap)
I dont have zbrush, but I agree more detail is needed.
