That's very realistic...had to double-take. I dont know if i Like the bench or the other thing better, (trashbin? if it is it's too low).

In the last image the guy walking up the steps in the foreground looks like hes off place by a few inches, look at his right foot.

Can we see the wireframe of the whole construction? The glass is great...Keep us updated.

I agree - the buildings look fantastic. Poor quality renders my a**e!

christmas trees, hehe i dont know

also the actually entre, the doors are not ready i post a render as soon i come up with a design on does.

Antwik excellent reflections, please post details so we can learn.

Yes, your glass is quite excellent! Please share...

Monkey Grass, Hostas, plants with big green leafs with good cover. Thats in the S.E. US though - May be different for the proposed building's local...

I was thinking it needed a landscape around it, its really a majestic looking structure! Almost too staunche which is what I like design wise. Check out some of my structures at http://members.aol.com/kipdesign Don't laugh cause I rendered them in Truespace about six years ago and have been too lazy to redo them correctly in Wave.

Great work and very inspiring I am currently working on some architecture myself to finish by monday, and your work gave me some great ideas.

I agree that the guy in the stairs seems to be a few inches above the step, the trash bin looks nice to me (I dont think there is a standard height to those)

Great work, hwo did you achieve the reflection of the buildings in the glass btw?

Väldigt snyggt!

Gör du glas själv, eller har du inhandlat det här kanske?:

Synd att betong är så tråkgrå...kanske lite varma färger här o där

:D

Keep up the Good art!

Howdy!
About the glas material, The surface material aint that advanced the tricky thing is that I use, First on surface glass. Then one surface air and then one surface glass again and then one surface air again.

So when the radiosity hit the windows it act like in the reality. The light go true a doubble glassed window and then into the air again.

To get the reflection i wanted i built up building around the scene, with colormapped windows.

glassefx: Thats a cool table, maybe the glass dosent look to realistic.

etyrihje: Glad i could inspire you, Tell me when your buildings are done!
There is no trash can, The thing beside the lamp is a empty "vase" for large plants and the things on the plateau is just some art.

Tiger Kul att du gilla de!
Själva glas surface materialet är inte allt för klurigt, bara lite gradiants får att få till reflektioner och transparansen rätt. Tricket är att ha flera lager, först glas sedan luft sen glas igen och sen luft.

I added some kind of short street light, to intensify the scale and perspective.
(Sorry for the low refinements in the renders, I get you some better later on my)
This scene is getting slow hehe

I don't like the grain, then I do like the grain, then I wonder if it just is a low GI setting for tests??? Hows your lighting setup? Could you show us a plan of the lighting posutions?

antwik-2

Sorry about the grain!
Its just fast previews with fprime, showing the work in progress.
Here is the light setup, and some renders showing that the buildings got interiors.
staris and office space.

Ant is that a custom glass surface or a lightwave one? Ive always had trouble getting surface glass right in Fprime always come sout too dark.

Reminds me of the attrium at the Los Angeles Convention Center (Siggraph 2004 :)

Nice work.

Nice job on modeling man, did you start from CAD blueprints ?

I'll try the glass-air-glass-air windows in my actual proyect and post some renders.
Also for the windows did you use the "IN and OUT glass" presets from the preset panel ?

Would you post some interior renders.?

Hi here is more updates.

(I did not use any blueprints and its two glass surfaces with air surfafces between)
I will post the scene with comped people walking by the building this week.
here is a larger render.

very nice progress, Ant what do u think about Kray tracer to help with archi work?

antwik-2
02-08-2005, 10:02 AM
Ade To answere you on that question very straight.
No.

Kray got so many leaks, You cant render subdivsion use plugins and whats most importent in this scene, Kray dosent render my surface materials. It cant handle gradiants where all my insidance angle settings and stuff are told.

It would render faster, once you find the right settings for the scene. But setting up the photon mapping almost take as much time as refining a frame with fprime.

More renders.
Notice the reflections of a city in the glass.
(the image might take awhile to download)

it looks beautiful,

my question, how long does it take to render ?
from what I understood, you use 2 area lights , radiosity and all this amount
of raytrace reflection for glass... ouch :)
(is the radiosity solution for the building baked?)

congrats

antwik-2
02-08-2005, 02:28 PM
argh im not happy with it, i think the reflection get to bright but i still wan to have the same amount of light.

i also think its lack of dynamic. Maybe the hdri that i use is to small?
its only 640x480

JML Does frames took like 3days. :)
I use a hdri probe and one area light to lit the scene up.
No radioisty is baked.

Absolutely fantastic! That includes the marker rendering too. For anyone who has not tried to do a perspective marker rendering it's no easy task. I aspire to your level!

Great work man :)

Love that glass!
