A residential / office / entertainment concept I whipped up in my spare time (over a few days) for a competition. Still needs a loooota work and detail but it was more the concept I was trying to get across (and meet a deadline). Final image is 5000x2000 - not these low res shots you see here.

It'll all end in tears - it's bound to fall over.. !
Really good innovative design. I'm not sure it's very practical, but certainly a very interesting concept. I hope they put some railings up before someone falls off!
It's a nice touch to have the grassy areas uneven and not just flat.
Great stuff, particularly for a few days effort.

I just have on thought and that is in this scene your design doesn't make sence in that if there all this flat area why build up, so I would make mountain cliffs or something of that nature or over water may be esser. .any how nice work

Skoldpadda - all fine on my end and others can see as well so maybe the image loading problem is something on your side.
shaol - I probably should have put a few extra words for explanations as this was done for a contest that had a theme to it and I took it sideways a little.
pauland - I think it needs a few more beefed up cables and a few hundred thinner support cables but all in all I reckon something like it could stand ;) Oh yeah - the missing raling is missing on purpose - I figured if the pyramids did not have any then what than heck ... user beware :)
A bit more explanation ...
"When I initially read the contest description page what really captured my imagination was the idea of the structure alluding to some great historical wonder of the world and its ability to touch us on a subconscious level. I really tried to imagine myself standing below some of the ancient wonders of the world in the days they were built and put myself in the shoes of the people of that age. What would it feel like? How did those ancient monuments speak to their soul and what was/is it about them that touches us so profoundly and speaks to the core of our being.... In the final submission the structure stands in a green field, solitary and somewhat out of context, on purpose. Similar to the Great Pyramid I wanted to place it more like a monument of an era long past rather than an integrated entity. A secluded, quiet place with no physical attachments to anything real. The flip side to my initial time travel back, this time I imagine the viewer staring at it 2000 years from now and thinking what they would see and feel."
Hence the totally un-integrated look and also the little bit of nature creeping up and overwhelming the first few levels. The topside levels are meant to be entertainment and residential where as the underside ones are office / commercial use.
