Aura 2.5B update installation

Hello all,

Simple question with not much information regarding installation of the update to existing program.
My question, when at the screen to choose directory, is that for the Aura files OR just a temp directory to install TO Aura ?

Don't want to overwrite any important information.

It stated that you need to choose custom installation of
LW object texture painter, does it show up AFTER files installed
or when ?

Did NT just neglect something? I can't seems to find any installation doc either.

I install Aura 2.5 demo, and I just install the Aura2.5b demo (but to a separate directory). 2.5b seems to miss a bunch of things. And certainly no lw filter anywhere.

OK, now I got it. Gotta set installation to custom inorder to install the lw filter.

I guess the point I am making is that I have a Registered version of Aura 2.5 and want to update it w/2.5B.
As in my previous first message, I would like to know if I install the update into the Aura's directory or in a temp directory and then proceed with the installation.
Additionally, I want to know where I get to see the custom list to choose the object texture plug-in.

Any response appreciated.

Not sure what the official installation instructions are but I just pointed it to my existing 2.5 directory for installation and it worked fine. Not sure about configs thou. I just created a new one. -Coz

Has anyone succesfully updated to 2.5b on NT? I am upgrading from 2.0, but I didn`t want to mess up my current working installation (as 2.5 kept crashing on launch) so I installed 2.5 first to a seperate directory and then upgraded that version to 2.5b...Unfortunately Aura doesn`t even launch anymore. All I get is a warning message:

"aura25.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point Thread32First could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll."

There was a message earlier about copying the key file to some location on the harddisk but I can nolonger find it since NewTek redesigned the site.

Any help appreciated.

Little correction to my first message (upgrading to 2.5b on NT).
The error message I get during launch is this:
