Print to Tape

G'day,

When I try to print a project to tape (DV), the 'rehearse' and 'print to tape' buttons are greyed out. I can control the deck (Sony DSR-11), however, so I can actually press 'record' so the deck starts recording, but there is NO (firewire)signal flowing from Toaster to the deck when the project is played back from the timeline. Capturing from the deck has always worked...

Does anyone have an answer?

To my knowledge, Print to tape does not work via Firewire. You can, in VT4, output to tape via Firewire. To do this you need to open Preferences and change DV to output. It is one of the selections at the top, you wil recognize it when you see it.

Ah, I don't have VT4 yet...

Bit of a letdown really, being able to capture via firewire, but not the other way around...
