I wonder if that's a screw up, with regards to mentioning LW 8, or if it was intentional (w/Maya 5 and XSI 3.5 being announced, and a Max announcement soon to follow).

Im worried. Excessive price cuts often mean a software is dying. I've seen it before. Here the licences are almost given away considering that the computer takes up most of the price.

This isn't a permanent price cut, Newtek usually has a special sales price for Lightwave at big conventions like NAB and Siggraph, that way they can attract more impulse buys.

Karl, this is not a high end workstation. You've been able to get LW for less than a grand for a couple of years now if you keep your eyes open, I got it for $900 a couple of years ago.

Ahh, I just bought a xw6000 XEON box from HP. But I bought LW 7.5 for my Apple a while back.
