I just bought LightWave and it came with 7.5b. I was wondering if there were any way I could install 7.5 over it.

you could do a seprarate install in another directory.

If you do please use a custom configuration directory so both versions dont overwrite each others config files.

whatever you do, don't mix the installation up or you'll have trouble.
