Hi everybody

just thought of something, i was wondering if there was a plugin or expression

that would enable the speed to equal that of the distance of an object based

on its motion !!!

Okay i will explain, i have a fish that swims, now is there a plugin that would

increase or decrease the speed of the fishes tail motion, dependant on the

distance it travels along say the X,Y,Z axis.

so if from frames 0 to 10 the fish swims 2m then from 10 to 60 it swims 10m

the tail would swim faster to compensate the distance, just so that it mached.

if there is a plugin or expression out there that does this i would love to know

about it !!!

if anybody can help then that would be great

Cheers Andy Gee

Hi there,

You might want to have a look at Steve Worleys Polk plugins, it has a nifty bundle of five plugins called Phase link,Distlink, throttle link and speedlink/accel link.

speedlink ties the cycles phase (ie fish tail) to the velocity of an object so as you speed up and slow down so does your cycle.

Hope this right but check it out at www.worley.com.

I'd test it for you but I'm havin a renderfest.

regards

paul

you have to pay for these plugins but they do come in useful and there are about 22 plugins in the polk collection
