...or Ted has a way to select everything to the right of the currently selected clip? I'm almost sure this feature exists but can't find it anywhere...

In the timeline put the edit cursor where you want it, right-click on any empty section of a track and select the Selection option of your choice:

Before Edit Line
After Edit Line
Above Track Line
Below Track Line

If you put the Edit Line "within" the clip you have in mind and you select After Edit Line your dreams will come true Dorothy. :D
