Can I save the object?

Putting final touches on an object this afternoon, saved object and modeler crashed. Tried to reload the object- error message. After rebooting, I'm still getting error message. Is there any way to salvage the object or will I have to start from scratch? :(

BTW I'm running 8.01 on a dual 2Ghz G5with 4.5 gigs of RAM.

Very unlikely that you will be able to get it back. Always save new versions of your model, about every ten saves.
