I'm using powergons to place windows and doors on a building. The first image below shows the side of the building with my window powergon. The second image shows the window geometry. The third image is the resulting geometry that I got after committing the powergons in Layout. For some reason there is a 1° rotation on the z-axis of the object that I can't explain. I've since fixed the problem by adding a matching rotation on the original object before doing powergons. The doors in the scene are suffering from the same problem. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

I have had problems with powergons too.
In my experience, if the polygons which have the powergons attached are facing the Z+ axis there is no problem at all. If the polygons are rotated around the Y axis, and therefore face the Z and X axis, there is no problem.
However if the polygon is rotated around either the X or Z axis, and the polygon is no longer at a right angle to the Y axis, the geometry loaded in to Layout does not match the polygon normal. The discrepancy is greatest at around the 45 degrees.
Hopefully the attached image clarifies this...

I have no idea why this happens, but I would like a solution as it does restrict the use of powergons (and luxigons - I did a quick test and it happens with those too) It happens in both 7.5c and 8.

Kyuzo, thanks for your input. It's nice to know that it's not just me. The polys in my example are facing the Z- axis. Perhaps I'll try flipping them just to see if I get the same results that you're getting. It's odd behavoir and I'd love to hear what NewTek has to say about it.

I'd like to hear what can be done too.
I only discovered this problem a few days ago, and was trying to figure out if I was doing something dumb. In a way I'm glad someone else has reported the same type of problem.
Anyone else out there have any ideas?
For that matter, is anyone else out there using Powergons at all?
