When I render my scene with raytrace reflections,
i get these strange artifacts. (edges of the polys and the reflection on the white thing looks dithered).
I checked already for nonplanar polys.
what is wrong here?

try changing to 32 bit color on your video card.
That's bizarrre - Double check your geometry to make sure it's clean - no overlapping, duplicated, non-planar polygons, and try lowering your ray recursions

Thanks for your tips,
i played around with all the settings, but it didn`t make a difference. I needed a high ray recursion value to get lots of reflections to get the abstract look i was after.
Today i rendered an image, same object, same scene setup and got a perfect picture.
I have no idea what i did wrong yesterday.
Anyway, it works now.
