This gentleman is a villian I am working on. Crits are welcome.

Looking very sharp so far. The contours are
really smooth and work around the eye, mouth and
forehead region area the great.
Watch the shape of the skull - it looks out of proportion
with the jaw line and attaches unnaturally to the ear.
Lastly, the chin bulge seems a little stangely sculpted.
He kind of looks like a white Samuel Jackson in a smoking
jacket.

i would like to see some different lighting or angle, this shot doesn;t do your person justice.

Yes, for a villan you want to have your main light low down and pointing up - but that's obviously for when you've finished him.

Good work so far - he looks quite mean!

Adrian.

As requested, another shot of the character. Same light rig. Different angle.

mmmm, i see now, well the head is a little mis-shaped, and i do agree about the ear it could be a little smoother but all in all good model, some of the polys don't look like they connect.

Okay, Please explain where the misshape is at. Here's a side view. I am not seeing what you gentlemen are talking about.

i guess it really depends what your going for, but from the side view on a normal person even a cartoon type person the distence between the eyebrow and the key of the head is a grater distence the you have displayed basicly the forehead needs work, i guess in the making of the eyebrows frown to make a villan it made sort of a funny outcome, but if thats what you are going for then its fine. and on the ear he lobe needs to meet some flesh, but again if thats waht your going for grate.

I think this model has a great deal of potential.
I'll go the extra mile here to explain what I meant in my post.
I've taken the liberty of DLing yer image for this purpose.
A= The back of the skull looks bulbous and overly
large when compared with the rest of the head.
B= The ear and some of the polys attaching it to the head at
the jawline look too rigid and mashed together.
C= These two "bulges" on each side of the chin bother me a lot.
They should set lower on the face and be smaller in scale.
Looks good so far - it's probably time to get some maps on him.
