Hi everyone,
Behold, my very first Lightwave model rendred with three spotlights.
Does anyone have an idea where the 'freckles' on the neck come from, cause they should not be there?
Thanks, Dominiek.

Make it into a compressed jpeg so NT can host it easily...

You mentioned 3 spotlights... any radiosity at all? Radiosity can cause that kind of noise pattern. So do low quality area lights with shadow blurring turned off. I've never seen spotlights exhibit that kind of artifact. I like your little man, but are the eyes too far apart or is that how you want it?

Hey, Thanks for the replies.
I've renderd additional images with just two spotlights.
I am learning it all with Dan Ablan's 'Inside Lightwave 8'.
And so far I've seen so much that it'll take a while before I get somewhat fluent with it.
I like the book: without it it would be almost impossible to learn the basics that comprehensively.
Anyway, in the newly rendered images, there are no freckles.
envious mentioned radosity: I did not use that in the first render (to my knwoledge that is, haha).;)
I do not have a website and I was wondering if it is possible to post multiple images in a thread by uploading them to NT's website.
Or do you have to send them along as attachments if one does not have a site?
Thanks...

Seems the image is being displayed directly when uploaded as jpg- file as glassefx mentioned.
Still have to figure out how to post multiple images in one post.:o

nah dude its all good, just a suggestion (to round out the head), make a ball in a different layer, and make the head curve around the ball like this:

Hey alblil,
You made me kind of curious as to putting the model in a background layer to make the head curve around a ball.
Could you show or explain wath you mean?
Thanks...
