I'm presently making a sword that needs to be hot and glowing at the tip, and cool and darker farther up the blade. Since I can't control the glow effect in that fashing, I need to either make one end of the blade red, while the other is darker, close to black, or make the luminosity go from 0 to 100.
Though I would think of this as a gradient, the gradient function only seems to combine different textures, but if you want an object that's red on one end, gradually becomes blue on the other, or luminous on one end, and gradully less and less as you get to the other side, how would I achieve this?
("gradient" on the color tab doesn't seem to hadle this funtion, so what would?)
