View Full Version : how to get particle emitter to follow deformations

My reasons for needing this are complicated to explain, but I really need particles to be emitted from an object's vertices =after= the object is deformed. I'm using a texture displacement with noise.

The particles are all emitted from the same points in space, and the emitters don't follow the displacement of the verts.

Anyone know how to get the particle emission to occur =after= the object is deformed?

It's probably something really basic that I'm missing.

Hi there,

If you have any deformation you will have to pre-calculate your particles using either "FX Start" (LW 7) or "Calculate" in the Dynamics tab of LW8.
