Hi
I ran out of 1084s monitors... i only have left a 1942... when i open WB it works fine, but when i open my flyer screen it goes out of sync...
Is there a fix for this? Could MoNed help me here?
In other words... HELP!
TIA

The 1084 monitors had 23 pin connections that went directly onto the video port on your Amiga. The 1942 however needs an adapter. If you're using a supplied amiga adapter with a video toaster the part number needs to be greater than "-01". Apparently the original adapters weren't pinned right for use with a toaster. Software hut (www.softhut.com) has a Flicker fixer, the ToastScan, ($130-$140) available that will let you use most VGA monitors including a 1942 or 1960 on your Toaster/Flyer system. It's a little expensive but it does allow you to use a wider variety of monitors on your system so you don't have to worry about your 1084 dying. I have a Sony Multiscan 100sx hooked up to my Non-toaster Amiga 4000 and it works fine. They may also have the older Amiga adpaters which were only about $15 way back when. Hope this helps.

Convert to an Amiga 3000, it has built in VGA-Output at 'normal' refresh rates [built in flicker fixer and scan converter]. The Amiga 3000 probably sells cheaper on ebay than a flicker fixer
