Lace problems with TMPEG or maybe DVDit PE

When I render an AVI or RTV to MPEG2 in TMPGEnc and then bring it into DVDit PE to author and burn, I end up with with a picture that has a very distinct "combed" left and right edge when there is horizontal motion. It doesn't matter which field order I use when configuring TMPGEnc both produce the same results.

The look is the same as what you get if you do a test for field order in TMPGEnc using the Advanced/Deinterlace screen but leave the method set to NONE.

What type of AVI did you try rendering to to put into TMPGEnc? Try it with a Type-2 DV format.

Also, be sure that your source and destination are both showing as "interlaced" in TMPGEnc. If one of them is non-interlaced or progressive without the deinterlacer engaged, that may cause what you describe.
