What is the difference between an Academic version of LW and the Pro.

I've tried looking through the site, writing to sales support (no answer).
I could qualify to get an academic version but don't know if it's worth it if it is going to be limited in some way.

Is it limited. How limited?

Would love to know. Thanks,

Speaking from memory no difference, just the licence to use Lightwave to produce commercial work.

The only "limitation" with the academic version is that if you use it to produce paid, commercial work, you are violating the license agreement, and can be sued. If you are learning LW, and in school, and qualify for the educational price, go for it. Just don't use it to make money until you pay for an upgrade or the balance of the difference between educational and retail price.

Ah, yes, got it. Thanks.
I never thought of that particular aspcect, "can't use it commercially".

Thanks for the info.
