Started with LW 3 weeks ago and having a blast. I work my best when under pressure so I decided to enter the CGTalk 3D contest they are running (Machineflesh).

I posted my WIP in a thread under the PC section but thought I should make one here and keep this updated :)

Her left arm will be a sort of catapult where an automatic (organic) stone feeder on her back will reload it.

Her right arm will be a combination of a auto feeding crossbow (bolts feed by vines pertruding from her skin) and a weapon for a hand (not sure if going for sword or jus a spear).

Any suggestions or opinions are always welcomed :)

Thank you for the suggestions somnambulance.

I have been using the tutorials regularly and they have helped me step by step. I am currently on "Texturing for Dummies" part 3 hehe

The movie Tutorials won't load for me here at work so I will check them out when i get home tonight :) Thanks again for the links :)

Here is a quick update.

Just started on the stone loader on her back. Also added the joint for the catapult. Having some problems working with rail etrude and the corners atm :(

The textures are temp I just added them real quick without mapping them for some flavor while modeling :)

Playing with some texture settings atm (still stuck on the vine problem :( ) Not liking the brown bark so going to change to something lighter like birch or similar.

I did some tweaking to the eyes and other areas but mostly played with textures last night

I would love to model out the body vines but I am still having a slight problem with making them :( So because time is short I just threw on a texture. Modeling the armor now and should have most of that done before the weekend.
