I will be coming up on my one year lightwave (and 3D) anniversary pretty soon yet i still consider myself a newbie...

I wanted to get some ideas on something artful to make with lightwave that will use radiosity, lens flares, reflections, transparency, or whatever else to their full potential, I just wanted some ideas because all of my animations seem to be pointless, plotless, somethings always missing, projects that never get finished. So what should I make?

BTW i posted this in the WIP section because I will be posting whatever I make in this thread

:)
thx

Keep it 'simple', try to set the story in a single location, with a single character, then focus on the idea, and the animation. Don't go for special effects unless they're needed. Sure add something to give it some impact but know when to hold back.

Samurai,

If you want to go crazy on reflection, transparency and all those other render intensive things, how about an indoor water pool in a greenhouse type setting, as in lots of windows. Plenty of transparency and reflection there. You can add another intensive element: volumetric lighting.

If you want to do a short: I have been wanting to start a fun house or haunted house, one of those would probably be good for you. You could have a character going through something like that. It would be easier to keep a funhouse simple too.
