I don't understand why you need AE. If you're not doing anything to it in AE, then why would you need it?
FCP should import an image sequence. If not, open your sequence with QT player and export as a quicktime that FCP can import.

You can bypass AE and import your LW anim directly into FCP in at least two ways:
1. Follow the "save animation" step-by-step, and save your animation as a Quicktime File. Render the anim. Then go back into FCP and import a file (Control-I). Naturally you'll need to render it.
2. Follow the "save animation" step-by-step and save your animation as a series of images. Render the anim. Then go back into FCP and import the image sequence.
The advantage of the second version is that if for any reason you abort the rendering process, you won't necessarily lose all that has been rendered prior to the abort. If you render as a QT file, you stand a chance of losing an animation if the process is aborted.
If you're planning on placing your animation over video, you're basically done.
But if it's a stand alone anim, be careful about your alpha properties. You'll need to find the imported file in your Browser, right-click and open the properties panel, then find the alpha options and change it to "none/ignore". Otherwise you'll end up with a transparent background and things like volumetric lighting and other effects won't show up.
