There is a book, "The Unseen Universe" (ISBN 0-8052-0453-9) by C. P. Gilmore, of images produced with a scanning electron microscope. These images (especially the first one) look like they came right out of there. Awesome work!

Nice work!
You should check a similar picture in CGtalk machineflesh challenge. It's a small microscopical bug with cybernetic implants...

Disgusting! (Not your work - the mite).
Very good job on the modelling, lighting and texturing... is this a commercial project or just for fun?
Adrian.

Very nice but you could add some DOF for more realism...
I neither agree or disagree about ther DOF comment, but do scanning electron microscopes actually produce dof in real life? I do not know the answer.
I've seen a lot of "electron microscope" renders, but I never seem to get tired of them. Great work!

thanks for all comments :)
Pixym-Its actually a bit dof here but not very much- the back of the mit is a bit out of focus. Maybe i should add some more..
adrian- This is just for fun :)
